brief video summary
the app
‘q’ to add dots
‘w’ to remove dots
‘a’ to activate sound (if it is not on already)
Scroll to the black area at the bottom of the page to activate the app.
Only three dots may be active at a time. There are 25 different samples that you will cycle through in the process of creating and removing dots.
You can use your mouse to navigate around the 3D object too – pan, zoom and the like.
I am using Tone.js for audio and three.js for visuals. I like things kind of simple and most importantly, precise, which is the appeal of 3D cgi in the first place. Some of my favourite and most inspiring CGI is still Tron : )
Note that this sounds much better in Firefox than in Chrome.
Please wait a moment for the audio to load – its pretty quick.
