A simple natural algorithm: fill up the space with lines getting thinner as they move outward from the trunk. It is also a reference to veins and arteries – blue is applied over a red base to darken the lines in stage three above. A very rudimentary and early form of natural computing. This would be an example of the first class of methods: “those that take inspiration from nature for the development of novel problem-solving techniques.”
